Japan's red leaf landscape is generally distributed in fields and gardens. That is to say, a part belongs to natural landscapes of fields, while another part blends with humanistic landscapes, forming garden landscapes. Just like our country's northern temples planting ginkgo trees, Japanese temples often plant maple trees. Therefore, in autumn photos of Japan, we can often see red leaves with ancient temples as mutual background, exuding a quiet and antique flavor.

The peak season for viewing fall foliage in Japan usually lasts from mid-September to early December, with different regions experiencing it at different times. In November when entering 11th month , various forms such as boat cruises are held during red leaf festivals across Japan . People will take boats on festival days to admire distant mountain scenery; traditional dancers dance on ships that create beautiful scenes.
